Maple Muffins

 

 

 

Maple Syrup Muffins

2 cups flour

1/4 cup sugar

3 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup butter

1 egg

1/2 cup milk

1/2 cup Forty to One Cooking Syrup

Preheat oven 400 degrees

Variation: Add 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl.

Cut in butter until well blended.  Beat egg, milk, and maple syrup.  Stir into dry ingredients just until blended.  Do not over beat.

Fill greased or paper-lined muffin tins 2/3 full and bake 20 minutes.
