Tangy Barbeque Sauce

BBQ Maple Chicken

 

1/2 cup Forty to One Cooking Syrup                        1/2 cup catsup

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce                          1 tablespoon steak sauce

1 tablespoon mustard                                                1 tablespoon vinegar

1 tablespoon vegetable oil                                         1 teaspoon lemon juice

1/4 cup diced onion                                                    1 clove minced garlic

1/4 teaspoon salt                                                        1/8 teaspoon pepper

Dash ground cloves

Place all ingredients in a small saucepan.  Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes.  Great with chicken or pork.

I like to make more at a time and can in 8 oz jelly jars.

 I usually precook my chicken and pork then marinade  in the sauce in the refrigerator until ready to grill.  Grill over medium heat.  The meat will be moist without burning the sauce.
