Grammie White’s Maple Walnut Fudge |

1 cup Brown sugar, packed |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
|
1 cup White sugar |
2 tablespoons butter |
|
1 Cup Forty to One Cooking syrup |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
|
2 tablespoon corn syrup |
1 cup chopped walnuts |
|
3/4 cup Half and Half |
|
|
Place sugars, syrups, and half and half in a large saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until 238 degrees. Drop in butter, DO NO STIR. |
Cool to 130 degrees and add vanilla, beat with spoon until it loses the gloss and holds its shape. Add nuts. Pour into a buttered 8x8 pan. Cool, cut into 1” pieces. |
